The European Union imposed tariffs on citric acid from China as much as 42.7 percent.

Subsequent to the adoption of provisional anti-dumping measures, six Chinese producers, namely Anhui BBCA Biochemical, RZBC, TTCA, Yixing Union Biochemical, Laiwu Taihe Biochemistry and Weifang Ensign Industry offered price undertakings. In these undertakings, the six producers have offered to sell the product concerned at or above price levels which eliminate the injurious effects of dumping.
